National Customs and GST Museum was inaugurated by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Finance Minister has dedicated the National Customs and GST Museum 'Dharohar' at Panaji, Goa, to the nation as part of the prestigious week celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

It has been told in the release of PIB that Panaji's famous Blue Building on the banks of river Mandvi is a heritage site in the Blue Building which was earlier known as Alfandega during the Portuguese rule, is 400 years old. Press Information Bureau release said that the heritage museum is one of its kind in the country which not only displays the artifacts confiscated by the Indian Customs across the country but also provides basic frontier for the knowledge of the general public.

It further states that the handwritten manuscript of Ain-i-Akbari, a replica of Amin Pillars, confiscated metal and stone artifacts, ivory objects, and wildlife objects Ivory Objects and Wildlife Objects are notable in its exhibits. Recently, GST Gallery has been added to it, which shows the journey of formation of the most historic indirect tax reform of New India i.e. Goods and Services Tax.
