Muzaffarnagar receives the 'Best district' award in Water Management Initiatives

Uttar Pradesh has received the first prize in the category of Best State and Muzaffarnagar for Best District for the initiatives taken regarding the falling water level and effective water management. In the National Water Award announced by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Muzaffarnagar has secured 1st place in the Best District category. For this commendable work, His Excellency President Ram Nath Kovind honored Muzaffarnagar’s District Magistrate (DM) Chandra Bhushan Singh and Chief Development Officer (CDO) Alok Yadav in New Delhi. District Muzaffarnagar has bagged the top spot in the Best District category in the 3-D National Water Awards-2020 announced by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti. In New Delhi on Tuesday, His Excellency President Ram Nath Kovind honored DM Chandra Bhushan Singh and CDO Alok Yadav with a trophy and citation for this achievement. During this, the commendable work of the administration was also appreciated. The DM said that this award was started by the Ministry of Jal Shakti in 2018. Under the National Water Awards-2020, 57 awards have been divided into 11 different categories. Expressing his happiness, Union Minister of State Dr. Sanjeev Balyan has congratulated everyone for getting first place in different categories for the state and district in water conservation.
