News Synopsis

Citigroup, which focuses on serving major local corporations, multinationals, financial institutions, and emerging, and medium-sized corporate clients in India, claims that MNCs are seeking to establish India as a global manufacturing base after abandoning the consumer banking area. Which will have a positive impact on small- and medium-sized businesses. In an interaction with ANI, Manolo Falco, Co-Head, Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory Segment, Citibank, said that this is a tremendous opportunity to support India's capital and advisory needs.

Speaking to ANI, Manolo Falco said, “For us at Citi, there is a tremendous opportunity to support India’s capital and advisory needs. Recent government policies on logistics, hydrogen, and EVs support further growth, self-reliance, and efficiency. Will do.”

Manuel Falcó is the global co-head of banking, capital markets, and advisory at Citi. All corporate and investment banking activities, including coverage, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and lending globally, are under the umbrella of banking, capital markets, and advisory.

Prior to this position, Manuel held the positions of Citi Country Officer for Spain, Head of Banking for Iberia, and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, where he established one of the most prosperous franchises in the nation.

Throughout his career, Manuel has provided advice on a number of significant deals that Citi led in EMEA. Manuel spent ten years in London and Madrid working in M&A and Capital Markets for SG Warburg and SBC Warburg before joining Citi in 1998.
