News Synopsis

A med-tech company- MedisimVR, that offers its services in the field of healthcare simulation has raised Rs 3.5 crore in its pre-Series A round. This pre-Series round was led by Inflection Point Ventures. Chennai Angels and Jana Balasubramaniam (MedTech investor) also participated in this round of funding of MedisimVR. According to the company, the raised capital will be utilized for scaling up their product offering and adding more skill training content to their library. Sabarish Chandrasekaran, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MedisimVR after pre-Series A round funding said: “The future healthcare workforce of India needs a futuristic training methodology and an alignment among visionary entities for rapid scaling up.” Currently, the valuation of the VR healthcare industry around the globe is $3.8 billion and by the year 2026 is estimated to reach $30.40 billion. In a Press statement company said that their key product offered by them is a Virtual Reality-based skill training platform. It assists students to covers all the skills required in the MBBS. In the last four months, around 500 medical students have registered themselves on their platform.
