News Synopsis

We have reached a point where every day we hear some new development on climate change. A few months back it was the UN report said that by 2030, Earth’s temperature will rise by a total of 1.5 degrees Celsius. If that news wasn’t scary enough, newer developments reveal that many Indian cities will get submerged underwater due to climate change. This comes after NASA released documents that give the number of cities that will get submerged underwater which includes many Indian cities such as Chennai, Mumbai, etc.

It lists a total of 12 Indian coastal cities that will get completely submerged underwater by the year 2100. This list includes Chennai, Mumbai, Mangalore, Bhaunagar, Mormugao, etc. These cities come into the most famous and developed cities in India and to see them included in such a horrific list is heartbreaking. This demands immediate action and the governments need to take strong actions to make sure that the day never comes that we see our major cities underwater.
