Mahindra to collaborate with Qualcomm

In order to provide the newest technological advancements for comfortable, safe, and intelligent driving experiences in its brand-new Scorpio-N vehicle, Mahindra & Mahindra on Monday announced a collaboration with chip-maker Qualcomm. Utilizing its 3rd Generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms, the chipmaker will collaborate with the automotive electronics firm Visteon Corporation to provide the all-new Scorpio-N with top-tier, game-changing in-vehicle experiences.

"We are applying over two decades of auto expertise to transform the Scorpio-N into a digitally advanced and feature-rich SUV," said Uday Dodla, Senior Director, Business Development, Qualcomm India.

The 3rd Generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms are made to support higher levels of computing and intelligence required for cutting-edge features found in next-generation vehicles, making it possible to provide drivers and passengers with context-sensitive safety use cases.

It includes making it easier to monitor drivers and detect objects, as well as assisting in ensuring the security of driver and vehicle data.

According to the company, the 3rd Generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms also include an advanced suite of wireless technologies that support Wi-Fi 6, enhanced Bluetooth technologies, and multi-mode cellular connectivity.
