Mahindra Launches Thar Earth Edition at Rs 15.40 Lakh with Captivating Design Upgrades

Mahindra has introduced the Thar Earth Edition, an enticing variant of the popular 3-door Thar, priced at Rs 15.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra Thar Earth Edition Exterior Design:

The Thar Earth Edition draws inspiration from the vast Thar desert, reflecting in its unique satin matte paint scheme named "Desert Fury." The exterior boasts a distinctive 'sand sparkle' achieved through a metallic treatment. Dune-inspired decals on doors and rear fenders, silver alloys, and matte black badges contribute to its uniqueness. An Earth Edition badge on the B pillars adds to the exclusivity, while visual enhancements include Desert Fury inserts on ORVMS, body-colored grille, and Thar branding inserts on alloy wheels.

Inside, the Thar Earth Edition adopts an all-black theme with light beige accents. Beige leatherette seats feature dune designs on headrests, and Desert Fury inserts adorn dual-tone AC vents, steering wheel, and center console. Familiar Powertrains Deliver Proven Performance 

The Earth Edition carries forward the proven powertrain options from the standard Thar. The 2.0-liter mStallion turbo-petrol engine churns out 150 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, while the 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine delivers 130 bhp and 300-320 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

For tackling challenging terrains, a 4x4 drivetrain with a low-range transfer case comes standard with both powertrain options.
