Home décor and renovation company Livspace announced that it turned into a unicorn as it crossed the billion-dollar valuation mark on Monday. Livspace has emerged as a one-stop interior and renovation solution platform interconnecting homeowners with interior designers and vendors. The company raised $180 million recently that pushing it over the billion-dollar mark. This funding came in the form of investment by KKR & Co. World Famous Swedish-based furniture retail company, IKEA also invested in Livspace. This is the fourth Indian company to turn Unicorn this year. The capital raised will be used for further expansion, and to compete against its competitors. The company aims to expand its network in foreign countries as well. Anuj Srivastava, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Livspace, stated: "Our business is growing exponentially in both India and Singapore, and we aim to replicate this playbook, launch new solutions and accelerate our launches across new markets with operations across APAC, MENA, and Australia.”
