Kia India has once again demonstrated its commitment to safety with the Kia Syros achieving a prestigious 5-star safety rating under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP). This rating reinforces the brand's growing reputation for manufacturing secure and reliable vehicles tailored for Indian roads.

Impressive Crash Test Performance

The Syros underwent BNCAP's stringent testing protocols and delivered outstanding results in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP).

  • Adult Occupant Protection: 30.21 out of 32.00 points

  • Child Occupant Protection: 44.42 out of 49.00 points

The comprehensive testing included critical evaluations such as the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test, and Pole Side Impact Test, all of which the Syros passed with excellent scores.

Adult Occupant Protection Results

In the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, the Syros scored 14.21 out of 16, indicating robust safety for critical body regions like the head, neck, and chest. For the Side Impact Test, it achieved a flawless 16 out of 16 score, showcasing superior resistance to side collisions. Additionally, the vehicle demonstrated high safety levels in the Pole Side Impact Test.

Child Occupant Safety Performance

With a total score of 44.42 out of 49, the Syros sets new standards for child safety in its segment. Key scores include:

  • Dynamic Score: 23.42/24.00

  • CRS Installation Score: 12.00/12.00

  • Vehicle Assessment Score: 9.00/13.00

These results underscore the SUV’s effectiveness in securing child passengers through optimized restraint systems and crash-tested protection levels.
