Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary Breaks Down His Crypto Portfolio

Venture capitalist and "Shark Tank" star Kevin O'Leary (aka Mr Wonderful) has invested in cryptocurrencies and Web3 based on decades of experience as a financial services expert and index investor. 

As there are 11 sectors of the S&P 500, most experts advise not to put more than 20% in any one sector, and not more than 5% in any one stock.

Applying this strategy to his crypto portfolio, O'Leary predicts that crypto, blockchain and innovative financial services will be the 12th sector of the S&P 500 within 10 years. He currently holds 32 positions in digital assets such as Solana, Bitcoin and the blockchain company Polygon. He explained that no single position occupies more than 5% of the 20% allocated.

This approach applies to a wide range of investments in Web3, the next more decentralized Internet iteration concept based on blockchain technology.

He also expects to look for a location among other companies that align with his own vision. Meanwhile, He said he has not yet purchased Metaverse real estate to see if curated or uncurated Metaverse emerges as the market leader.
