News Synopsis

At the age of 22, Kanika Tekriwal founded her own aviation startup after confronting cancer, parental opposition, and occasional sexism. Ten years later, this high-flying entrepreneur owns 10 private jets. Her company, JetSetGo, is India's first and only private jet and helicopter charter market and is credited with transforming India's charter aircraft sector.

Born into a traditional Marwari family where women are not encouraged to work, the path has never been easier. However, Tekriwal is passionate about her mission to make private flying more accessible and economical, and she has had every difficulty finding JetSetGo, which she co-founded with her friend Sudheer Perla in 2012.

The startup, branded the Uber of Indian skies, diagnosed issues with chartering planes that no person had accomplished before, and used progressive technology to make the procedure less difficult for customers.

Indiatimes reports a combination of technology, proprietary maintenance procedures, and SMART management to ensure profitability, reduce maintenance costs and facilitate charter flight bookings.

Speaking approximately the hurdles she faced, Tekriwal instructed, “We predicted wealthy aircraft proprietors to listing their planes and clients to book them from our platform, however, our first flight never took off because the pilot didn't display up.
