Fintech startup Junio raises $6 Million from NB Ventures

Junio, digital payments and pocket money app for children has raised $6 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by United Arab Emirates-based company NB Ventures with significant participation from the Rajiv Dadlani Group.

FinTech start-up will use the newly raised funds to strengthen its team, introduce new product features and expand its customer acquisition initiatives.

Junio ​​aims to digitize children's pocket money and make it a recommended digital payment option. The platform provides 'smart cards' that kids can use to make offline and online purchases. New Delhi-based startups aim to instil discipline and awareness in children about managing money in a fun and hands-on way. Parents can have insights into their children's spending habits and can guide them to early lessons in money management.

Ankit Gera and Shankar Nath, co-Founders of Junio have said that the platform has seen huge adoption of its app ever since its launch. It is now in the process to introduce new and exciting features with focusing on developing a user-friendly product. He also welcomed and thanked the new investors on board.

In 2021, Junio ​​raised $ 2 million from renowned angel investors such as Kunal Shah and Yashish Dahiya, Venture Catalysts, and family offices led by the Rajiv Dadlani Group.

Junio ​​is headquartered in Delhi and has users distributed throughout the country. Core users of the platform are children aged 10-16  who have embraced everything digital.
