JioBook Receives Hardware Approval

The first laptop of Reliance Jio, JioBook can be launched sooner than expected as the report emerged that the first laptop of Jio has received hardware approval. According to the report, the hardware approval of JioBook revealed that the laptop will be powered by Windows 10.

It also mentions that it will be powered by an ARM processor. It is believed that the company is going with the same strategy as JioPhone and JioBook will be an affordable offering. The listing also mentions a Chinese company named Emdoor Digital Technology, which produces ARM-powered Windows Laptops. Reliance Jio will rebadge it as the JioBook upon its launch in India.

Other than Laptop, Reliance Jio is also planning to enter the tablet and smart TV segments. It is also suggested that Jio tablets and Jio TV could sport affordable price tags, mirroring the JioPhone strategy of the telecom company. This would allow the company to target a wider audience, especially with an increased need to study and work from home.
