News Synopsis

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has announced that Jio will soon launch a “people-first” artificial intelligence platform designed for India and the world. The announcement was made at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot, along with five major commitments aimed at accelerating Gujarat’s growth.

Jio to Launch a ‘People-First’ AI Platform

Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani announced on January 11 at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot that Jio will launch a people-first Artificial Intelligence platform built for India and the world.

The AI platform will begin its journey from Gujarat and aims to empower every citizen to use AI services in their own language, on their own devices, every day, enabling them to become more efficient and productive. Ambani also promised to make Gujarat the AI pioneer of India.

He revealed that Reliance is building India’s largest AI-ready data centre in Jamnagar, with the goal of making affordable AI accessible to every Indian.

AI Services in Local Languages

Mukesh Ambani said the new AI platform will allow people to interact with artificial intelligence in their preferred language and on their personal devices. This, he said, will help individuals, businesses, and communities use AI to improve productivity and quality of life.

He added that the Rajkot regional summit would act as a force multiplier for the all-round development of the Saurashtra region.

Ambani Praises India’s Confidence and Vision

Speaking at the event, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ambani said that India has never seen so much hope, confidence, and energy in its history. He credited the Prime Minister’s vision for shaping India’s direction for the next 50 years and beyond.

He also described Gujarat as more than just a state, saying,
Gujarat is our body, heart, and soul. We are a Gujarati company.

Reliance to Double Its Investment in Gujarat

Mukesh Ambani announced that Reliance Industries will double its investment in Gujarat over the next five years.

  • Reliance has already invested more than ₹3.5 lakh crore in Gujarat over the last five years.

  • The company will now invest ₹7 lakh crore in the state in the next five years.

This will further strengthen Gujarat’s position as one of India’s most important industrial and technology hubs.

Gujarat to Become a Global Clean Energy Leader

Ambani said Reliance is building the world’s largest integrated clean energy ecosystem in Jamnagar. This ecosystem will include:

  • Solar power

  • Battery energy storage

  • Green hydrogen

  • Green fertilisers

  • Sustainable aviation fuel

  • Marine fuel

  • Advanced materials

Jamnagar, which was once a major exporter of hydrocarbon energy, will soon become India’s largest exporter of green energy and green materials.

Kutch to Become a Global Clean Energy Hub

Reliance will also transform Kutch into a global clean energy hub. The company is developing a multi-gigawatt utility-scale solar project, supported by advanced energy storage and modern grid integration, to provide 24×7 clean power.

This will play a key role in India’s renewable energy goals and strengthen Gujarat’s leadership in green energy.

Reliance to Support India’s Olympic Dream

Reliance Foundation will partner with the Gujarat government to support India’s ambition of hosting the 2036 Olympic Games in Ahmedabad.

As a major step:

  • Reliance will manage the Veer Savarkar Multisports Complex in Naranpura, which will host national and international events and train future Indian champions.

  • A world-class hospital in Jamnagar is also being built.

  • Reliance will significantly expand its education facilities in the region.

AI Platform for India and the World

As the fifth major commitment, Ambani announced the launch of Jio’s people-first AI platform, which he described as unique for India and the world. The platform aims to make artificial intelligence affordable, accessible, and useful for every citizen.
