Jio Added 42 Lakh New Customers In A Month

The country's largest telecom company Jio has made tremendous profits in June 2022. According to a report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), in the month of June, 4.2 million i.e. 42 lakh new customers have been added to Jio's network. Airtel has been at number two in terms of adding new customers. Airtel added 7,93,132 new customers in June.

MTNL, BSNL and Vodafone Idea have seen losses in this period. According to the TRAI report, the total wireless subscribers reached 1,147.39 million during this period, which was 1,145.5 million at the end of May. The report also said that 90 percent of the wireless subscriber market is occupied by private players. Jio has got a total of 42 lakh new customers in the month of June and it has grown by 1.03 percent monthly.

The number of Jio subscribers has now reached 413 million. Jio's market share is now 36 percent. With 7,93,132 lakh new subscribers in June, Airtel's total subscriber base is 362 million. Airtel's monthly growth is only 0.22 percent and its market share is 31.63 percent.

It is worth noting that in June 2022, only Jio and Airtel are the only two companies that have benefited. In this period, only these two companies have got new customers, while Vodafone Idea said goodbye to 18 lakh customers in June. Vodafone Idea's total subscriber base now stands at 256 million and has a market share of 22.37 percent.
