News Synopsis

The billionaire, Jared Issacman is planning to fly to outer space with SpaceX once again after his participation in Inspiration4. Inspiration4 was the first private flight of SpaceX to orbit last year.

Issacman has also commissioned up to three space flights with SpaceX as a part of an initiative called the Polaris Program. He also plans to launch a crew of four using Falcon9 rocket of SpaceX and Crew Dragon spacecraft as soon as later this year.

Jared Issacman will lead the mission and has said that it will include different historic firsts, including the first private spacewalk and crew testing of Starlink communications in space. The crew will need to spend 5 days in orbit for the mission.

The mission will also include another member of Inspiration4 mission, Scott Poteet along with two SpaceX engineers, Sarah Gills and Anna Menon. The Polaris Program plans to use the Dragon Spacecraft of SpaceX in its second flight. The third flight would be on the next generation Starship of SpaceX.

Meanwhile, SpaceX is still in process to develop the spaceship but NASA is planning to use it to eventually return to the moon. The Polaris Program will also raise its funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital just like the Inspiration4 mission.
