Indian Startups raised $42 billion in 2021: Report

According to “The Indian Tech Unicorn Report 2021” of Orios Venture Partners, Indian startups have raised $42 billion in 2021, higher than the previous year from $11.5 billion. The report presents that India saw a total of 46 unicorns in 2021, which includes ShareChat, Cred, Meesho, Nazara, Moglix, MPL, Grofers, UpGrad, Mamaearth, Globalbees, Acko, Spinny and others.

India is currently the world's third-largest startup ecosystem with around 60,000 startups. The report also mentioned how these startups are not only developing innovative solutions but are also creating large scale employment opportunities in the country as well. Spinny and others.  

Bengaluru is the city with the most unicorns. Fintech, e-commerce and SaaS have had the maximum number of unicorns in 2021. Flipkart with $37.6 billion is the most valuable unicorn and Mensa was the fastest to be a unicorn in just 6 months. The report said that 2021 was a landmark year for the Indian startups going public.
