This solar power plant installed in West Central Railway will be competing against the railways of East Japan and railways of South America. The said award will be announced in the month of June this year. The solar power plant is currently churning out 1.8 million of power each year. Mr. Jaipuriya further explained that the electric traction system powered by the solar power plant is an energy-efficient and sustainable alternative. He also informed that all other tracks of the Jabalpur, Kota, and Bhopal divisions have been electrified, thus curbing carbon emissions.
