IIT Hyderabad to launch Suzuki Innovation Centre

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has entered an agreement with Suzuki Motor Cooperation in order to launch Suzuki Innovation Centre at IIT Hyderabad. It will act as a platform for knowledge sharing for both institutions.

It is the first time IIT Hyderabad is launching an innovation centre for knowledge sharing with a foreign company. The centre primarily aims at tackling issues related to mobility in India and Japan. 

According to a statement released from IIT Hyderabad, the contract is for three years. The centre will support skill development and sharing of human resources between the two countries. The institute also believes that the innovation centre will enable the institute to play a key role in strengthening the relations between India and Japan.
