Hyundai Venue Crosses 3 Lakh Sales Mark in India

Hyundai Motor India announced on Thursday that the Compact SUV Venue has exceeded the domestic sales mark of 30,000 rupees. The company first introduced the model in India in 2019.

Hyundai Motor India Director Tarun Garg has said in a statement, “Hyundai has been at the forefront of pioneering innovative and intelligent technology in the mobility space. The success of Venue is proof of customer love for our hi-tech and feature-packed products offerings.”

He also said that the model saw the introduction of Bluelink connected car technology and the innovative iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission). The company stated that with more than 33 connected car features, Venue was an instant hit amongst customers.

As per the company, the model has a market share of 16.9% in this segment. More than 70% of Venue sales came from petrol trims with multiple powertrain options on offer. 

The company said it has been among India's leading SUV makers in 2020 and 2021 and Venue will play a key role in shaping its success. The company sold more than 2.5 lakh SUVs in 2021, Venue accounted for more than 42% of the shipments, for a total of 1.08 lakh units.
