Hossein Zaimi Appointed as Head of Markets for Asia Pacific

News Synopsis

The multinational universal bank, Barclays has appointed Hossein Zaimi as the Head of Markets for the Asia Pacific. Hossein will be responsible for operating the firm’s APAC Markets business and leading the teams in the region to deliver the best products and services offerings to its clients. 

He will report to Co-heads of the Global Markets, Adeel Khan and Stephen Dainton, and regionally to Jaideep Khanna, Head of Barclays, Asia Pacific. 

With nearly 30 years of financial experience, Hossein has taken on global and regional roles in HSBC, Credit Lyonnais, and Salmon Smith Barney. Before Barclays, he worked for the last 17 years with HSBC in a variety of senior leadership appointments, where he most recently served as Global Head of Equity and Global Co-Head of Securities Financing, along with serving as a member of the Global Markets Executive Committee. 

Hossein also has experience in a vast range of functions, including the management of all trading and structuring activities in all activities across asset classes in APAC
