News Synopsis

The world's leading fashion brand Gucci has announced that it will accept crypto as a form of payment. High-end Italian fashion brand Gucci has become the first major fashion brand in the world to start accepting payments in the form of cryptocurrency as well. According to media reports, fashion brand Gucci has started accepting payments from the NFT ApeCoin (APE), which is affiliated with the board app Yacht Club.

At the same time, it is being told that the company had announced this decision last week. Gucci's decision to accept payments from the five-month-old cryptocurrency ApeCoin has raised hopes of giving this NFT exposure to the crypto market. It is worth noting that the world's leading fashion brand Gucci has decided to accept payment in the form of cryptocurrency at a time when the cryptocurrency market is going through a recession. All the major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dodgecoin have seen major declines over the past few months.

Gucci announced on Wednesday that it would accept payments in more than ten digital currencies, including five stablecoins pegged to the US dollar, Shiba Inu, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin. Customers can pay in-store using a link that is emailed to them. The link will have a QR code that will enable customers to pay using their cryptocurrency wallets.

Crypto payments are typically made at point-of-sale terminals using an NFC scanner or a quick response code, or QR code. The customer's smartphone and the bitcoin software can read the code. The retailer has the option of keeping the cryptocurrency payment or exchanging it for fiat money like the dollar.
