News Synopsis

To create and support the Web3 gaming ecosystem in South Asia, GuardianLink has partnered with the gaming hub IndiGG, a Sub-DAO of Yield Guild Games (YGG). Guardian Link is well-known for managing the NFT sales for celebrities like Amitabh Bacchan and Stan Lee.

GuardianLink is on a mission to assist gamers in making money off of their skills in virtual games, working with gaming partner IndiGG and its user base of 65,000 online players.

In order to encourage its community members to play the NFT cricket game, win matches, and have the opportunity to receive exciting rewards, IndiGG has made a sizeable investment in purchasing NFTs from GuardianLink and will lease them to them.

"Like YouTube streamers or TikTok/Instagram influencers, blockchain gaming has all the potential to become a dependable source of earning in the gig-economy era, if not for a full-time career. We strongly believe that NFT has the power to revolutionize the online gaming ecosystem in Asia," said Kameshwaran Elangovan, co-founder and COO of GuardianLink.

"Indians consider cricket to be a religion, so even though the sports genre hasn't taken off in Web2 games, I think Web3 cricket games would be very popular there. MCL is growing in popularity as one of the most popular live cricket streaming services thanks to its stable revenue stream "Ayush Gupta, director of growth at IndiGG, says.
After the pandemic, play-to-earn (P2E) games have particularly gained popularity. DappRadar, a market research company, estimates that gamers spent $4.5 billion on NFTs in 2017. The value of the game token—which could be a cryptocurrency created on a blockchain—determines how much one earns.
