Government Earns Rs 2,364 Crore from Office Scrap in 3 Years

The initiative saw remarkable milestones, with significant revenue generation and substantial improvements in office space.

Revenue Generation through Special Campaign 4.0

The special cleanliness campaign from October 2 to October 31, 2024, yielded over Rs 650 crore in revenue. This was part of the continued efforts under Special Campaign 4.0, contributing to both cleanliness and financial prudence.

Swachhata Campaigns Cover Over 5.97 Lakh Sites

Special Campaign 4.0 covered an extensive 5.97 lakh sites in 2024, compared to 2.59 lakh sites in 2023. This campaign resulted in freeing up 190 lakh square feet of office space for better utilization.

Monitoring and Leadership in Special Campaign 4.0

The campaign was actively monitored by cabinet ministers, ministers of state, and secretaries to the government of India. A dedicated portal (https://cdpm.nic.in/SpecialCampaign4) tracked progress on a daily basis to ensure successful implementation.

Reduction in Pendency and Achieving Targets

Special Campaign 4.0 successfully reduced pendency in the central secretariat, with most ministries and departments achieving 90-100 percent of their targets. Officials have been encouraged to continue the momentum throughout the year and integrate these practices into daily operations.

Conclusion and Evaluation Phase

The special campaign concluded on October 31, 2024, with exceptional results. The evaluation phase will commence on November 14, 2024, to assess the outcomes and gather final data.
