News Synopsis

Google has released the first developer preview of Android 13. It brings a number of changes that could benefit developers and make improvements to privacy, Material You, language controls and more. The preview is only available for developers and is not released to the end-users for now.

According to GSMArena, the first beta build to be ready for the public should arrive in April, and the final release of Android 13 is supposed to happen sometime after July. The next-generation Android may also have the ability to launch QR code scans through the lock screen. It may also allow apps to transfer media to nearby devices just with a tap.

It will also offer major improvements in audio streaming with Bluetooth. Under a merger with LE Audio codec, Google has added it to system settings as a new option. Upon connecting to any audio device, the codec will take the highest priority, under which the supported devices will try and establish a LE Audio connection before any other.
