Google Launched its 'Delete last 15 minutes' Feature

News Synopsis

The United States-based Global tech company- Google has rolled out a new feature in its latest update. This recent update earlier allowed iOS users to delete the search history of the last 15 minutes. This has now further expanded to Android users as well. Google spokesperson Ned Adriance said that the Google app for Android is currently rolling out this feature. He further informed that android users will be able to access it in a few weeks once it's fully available. This feature was initially announced at the Google I/O conference in the month of May, last year. The company then announced to launch the feature initially for the iOS platform and said that the feature will be rolling out for Android smartphones by the end of 2021. However, that didn’t go as planned and the launch keep on being delayed further. The new feature will enhance users' privacy on the Google Android app. Currently, Google offers tools to mechanically delete search history for three, 18, and 36-month old searches.
