Google announces its Play Pass Subscription service in India

Google announced that it is offering its Play Pass subscription service on Android devices in India for Rs 99 per month or Rs 889 for the whole year. The Google Play Pass subscription service will offer more than 1,000 apps and games in 41 categories with no ads or in-app purchases.

The Director of Play Partnership, Google India, Aditya Swamy has said that with this launch, the company is excited to offer a robust collection of unlocked titles to its users and is also looking forward to partnering with local developers to provide an amazing experience to users.

With Google family groups, family admins can share their Play Pass subscription with up to five other family members. With the potential to reach users from 90 countries, Play Pass will give Indian developers of all types of apps and games a new avenue to expand their global user base, the company said.

Google has said that the Play Pass is available from this week and users can start trials by opening the Play Store on their Android device. The tech giant will continue to work with global and local developers in order to add new games and applications every month.
