News Synopsis

According to the Federal Employment Agency, Germany is running out of skilled workers. The act passed by the government was shattered due to the pandemic and lockdown. Temporary skilled immigration fell by 3 percent in 2020.  The Federal Employment Agency has said that the country needs 400,000 immigrants every year to fill up the job vacancies. 

The government is planning to implement the Skilled Immigration Act and invite qualified professionals from outside Europe to work in Germany. The economy of Germany is suffering due to the lack of skilled workers. The vacancies amounting at 1.2 million can get even worse if it is not solved yet.
