India will take over the presidency of the G-20 grouping today. The European Union and 19 of the greatest advanced and developing economies in the world meet annually to discuss the most important global concerns. This group is known as the Group of 20 (G20).

The G-20 logo will be illuminated on 100 monuments, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites, from Delhi's Red Fort to Thanjavur's Great Living Chola Temple, for seven days starting on December 1 to commemorate this milestone.

In addition, the list of these 100 landmarks includes places like Purana Quila and Humayun's Tomb in Delhi, Modhera Sun Temple in Gujarat, Konark Sun Temple in Odisha, and Sher Shah Suri's Tomb in Bihar.

India will hold 200 meetings all across the world during its year-long presidency in more than 50 cities and 32 different sectors.

India's goals for the Summit the next year highlight Indias's digital transformation and include the provision of affordable technologies for sustainable environmental development.

The G-20 was established back in 1999 as a forum for Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors to talk about global economic and financial challenges following the Asian financial crisis.

The Group of Twenty (G-20) is made up of 19 nations: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Over 75% of global trade, approximately two-thirds of the world's population, and about 85% of the world's GDP are all represented by the G-20 members.

The group's primary goals are to promote financial regulations that reduce risks, avert future financial crises, and build a new international financial architecture while also achieving global economic stability and sustainable growth.

According to a press release from the Ministry of External Affairs, India will be in the Presidency in 2023 and will host the G-20 leaders' summit 2023 in New Delhi on September 9 and 10.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Bali, Indonesia on Monday, November 14, to participate in the G-20 Summit 2022. Presidents of many other countries including India, America, China are participating in the G-20 summit. At the same time, PM Narendra Modi will participate in 20 programs during this period.

PM Modi met US President Joe Biden during his visit to Bali on Tuesday. Both leaders met each other with great enthusiasm. This meeting between President Joe Biden and PM Modi is considered very important. It is being told that important talks can be held between the two leaders regarding the Russo-Ukraine war.

Apart from participating in the G-20 summit, Prime Minister Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with the heads of the 10 participating countries. Many important issues will be discussed in detail in this. PM Modi will stay in Bali for about 45 hours. On the sidelines of the G-20 summit, PM Modi will also address the Indian migrants in Indonesia.

Giving information, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra said that the summit will be held in three sessions and PM Modi will participate in these three sessions along with other global leaders. The Prime Minister will also meet top world leaders on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit. It includes UK PM Rishi Sunak, French President Emanuel Macra besides Chancellor of Germany, President of Indonesia. Meanwhile, there is also a discussion about the talks between PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The US State Department told that President Joe Biden and PM Modi will meet each other. There may be a meeting with PM Modi and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak during the G-20 summit.
