Ford hits Highest Level in 20 years, After Doubling the Production of Electric F-150 Lighting

News Synopsis

Ford has seen a surge of about 12%, taking it to the highest level in 20 years since August 2001. The surge came after the company announced its plans to double its production of the F-150 Lighting electric truck.

Ford has set its target at producing 150,000 F-150 per year by 2023. The company has increased the quantity from the previous goal, which was 80,000. The company decided to push the production after it received 200,000 reservations for the electric pickup truck.

Ford is planning to deliver the electric F-150 in the first half of 2022. It is also allowing waves of its F-150 Lighting reservation holders to get their cars customized. Along with this, Ford is also planning to boost the production of its Mustang Mach-E BY 200,000 vehicles per year by 2023.
