Flipkart acquires Electronics Re-commerce Company, Yaantra

Flipkart has announced the acquisition of the electronics re-commerce company Yaantra. Flipkart has said that the acquisition will enhance its existing business in the smartphone category. 

The Senior Vice President and Head of Flipkart, Ravi Iyer has said that the acquisition will enhance the capabilities for the growth of the digital economy in India and also for developing a comprehensive service ecosystem to support the expansion of the company. 

Flipkart has also said that the company is planning to provide its customers with affordable refurbished smartphones that offer value and convenience. Yaantra will work with Flipkart to build the capabilities and accelerate its re-commerce scale-up plans.

Yaantra was founded in 2013 by Jayant Jha, Ankit Saraf and Anmol Gupta that repairs and sells refurbished consumer tech products including smartphones and laptops.
