News Synopsis

The first picture of the earth taken from space has completed 50 years. The picture was a result of a race to go to space between the USA and Russia. The photograph was captured in 1972 and has a clear view of the earth. In the photograph, the Sun is at a distance of 28,000 miles from the earth. The photograph is called ‘Blue Marble.’ The photograph will soon complete its 50 years. The scientists are planning to take another picture of the earth in December 2022, which will show the changes that the earth has seen in the past 50 years. The comparison of the two photographs will show the climate change on the planet earth.
