Elon Musk said Repricing his Twitter Deal for Less is "not out of the question"

stated that a lower-price acquisition of Twitter is not "out of the question." According to Bloomberg, Musk during the

stated, "Currently, I'm being told that there's no way to know how many bots there are... It's as if, like the human soul, it's unknowable." Elon Musk has been waffling publicly on his proposal to buy Twitter for $44 billion in recent days as tech stocks have fallen.

He first said the agreement was "on pause" on Friday morning, but later said he was "still committed" to the purchase. He claimed his team would check how many spambots were in 100 accounts later that evening. This seems to elicit a reaction from Twitter's stakeholders. Musk also revealed that Twitter used a sample size of 100 accounts on Friday evening, and then claimed on Saturday that sharing violated his NDA.
