Elon Musk Inaugurates a New Plant at Cyber Rodeo

Tesla CEO Elon Musk inaugurated the new manufacturing plant in Texas in an event, Cyber Rodeo. Elon Musk talked about how massive the new factory is and also gave out information about the still in development products including the Cybertruck and a robotaxi.

Tesla aims to manufacture 500,000 units of the Model Y in a year at the new plant in Austin, Texas. It is also hoping to start production of its Cybertruck in Texas next year. However, the company just like other automakers is grappling with the chip shortage and soaring raw material prices.

Prior to this, Tesla hosted a grand opening and started some commercial production at another new plant in Brandenburg, Germany. The Shanghai plant of the company has been closed for days due to the covid health restrictions in the region. 

Musk has built the Tesla brand on social media, especially Twitter and non-traditional marketing events such as "Cyber ​​Rodeo."
