News Synopsis

One of the highest in-demand DJ Steve Aoki has said that royalties from his music do not even compare to that he earned from selling digital collectibles called NFTs. He talked about it at a private gala music event in Inglewood, California

He said that if it was really to break down in the 10 years, he has been making music, six albums, and culminating all those advances, what he did in one drop NFTs made more money for him.

Steve Aoki is known for selling his hairy collectible for  $888,888.88 on Nifty Gateway last year, which is also one of the most expensive pieces of art to be sold to date. He also owns several NFTs from the iconic Bored Ape Yacht Club collection.

The DJ also talked about how these digital pieces of art are transforming the music world. According to a report, NFTs could upend the music industry and will provide artists with a potential revenue stream. Other artists, like Halsey, Shawn Mendes, and Kings of Leon have also supported the idea and pushed into the digital collectible world.
