Disappearing Messages Feature Will Get This Huge Upgrade From WhatsApp

According to reports, WhatsApp, the Meta-Owned Instant Messaging App is getting ready to roll out an upgrade for Disappearing Messages that would feature 15 new durations, giving users more freedom and control over their Communications.

At the moment, WhatsApp Supports Vanishing Messages for 24 hours, 7 days, and 90 days.

A website that analyses WhatsApp said, "We have learned that WhatsApp is working on introducing new durations for vanishing messages and we may expect to see these in a Future Version of the desktop client."

The instant Messaging Platform allows users to Send Vanishing Messages, which automatically vanish after a certain amount of time. This protects the messages from being permanently saved on the server or device of the receiver. Your chats are more private as a result.

The article claims that the Meta-owned app is developing a number of additional lengths for messages that vanish beneath the "More Options" button.

By selecting a new option from the following 15 durations, users will be able to set up vanishing messages. These durations are 1 year, 180 days, 60 days, 30 days, 21 days, 14 days, 6 days, 5 days, 4 days, 3 days, 2 days, 12 hours, 6 hours, and 1 hour.

Users will certainly have more control over the texts they send and receive with the inclusion of longer durations for vanishing messages.

According to the article, users may send messages that vanish within an hour, ensuring that the message is not stored on the recipient's device for an excessive amount of time. This might be especially useful for communications that include sensitive or confidential information.

In order to provide users on all platforms access to these new durations for setting up vanishing messages, WhatsApp is working to incorporate them into a future release of WhatsApp Beta for iOS and Android. The function is being worked on and will be included in an upcoming app version.
