In order to create DBS BetterWorld, an interactive metaverse experience that emphasizes the importance of creating a better, more sustainable world and asking others to participate alongside, DBS has partnered with The Sandbox, a decentralised gaming virtual world, and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands. The agreement represents a new step in DBS' efforts to consistently investigate the possibilities of Web 3.0 opportunities for the benefit of its clients and the larger society.

A 3x3 plot of LAND, a type of virtual property in The Sandbox metaverse, will be acquired by DBS as part of the agreement and will be developed with immersive elements.

The largest developments in the financial industry over the past ten years, according to Piyush Gupta, CEO of DBS, have been sparked by technological advancements. He continued by saying that those changes could become even more significant in the upcoming decade as a result of cutting-edge technology like artificial intelligence and blockchain.
