Cisco’s Duo set up a Data Center in India

Today, the cloud-based secure access provider, Duo, which is now part of Cisco, announced that in a bid to enhance the cyber defenses of its customers and fulfill the data localization requirements, has set up its first data center in IndiaCisco’s first data center in India is the company’s latest investment to create future-ready, data-compliant security infrastructure in the country. The data center of Duo launched in Mumbai is a part of the global expansion plans of the company. This data center will allow all services from zero-trust platform of Duo which includes multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), VPN-less remote access, device trust, and passwordless (in public preview), and adaptive risk-based policies. Other than this, this data center will enable businesses to boost their performance by enhancing connection stability.

Duo’s launch of the data center in India is an important move by the company as most of the Indian companies are boosting their digital transformation. At the launch of the data center, Daisy Chittilapilly, President, Cisco India & SAARC, said, “As Indian organizations ramp up their security, they must focus on building a robust cloud-based, automated architecture to facilitate remote management of highly distributed users, applications, and networks. At Cisco, as we catalyze our transition to delivering a majority of our portfolio as a service, we are bringing Duo to more customers to help them not only prevent and respond to breaches but also be certain that their data is held securely within the region.”
