Chingari raises $15 Million in Series A Extension Round

Chingari, the short video application has raised $15 million in Series A extension round. The platform has said that it will use the raised funds to enhance the technology, launch new features, and augment the tech team of the application.

The application is soon planning to launch its live streaming, socio commerce and audio chat features. It has witnessed a two-fold increase in its user base since April 2021, with more than 110 million downloads. The application plans to increase its user base to 200 million by the end of 2022.

Chingari currently has 35 million monthly active users. It is also planning to add 20 more languages to its portfolio to increase user engagement and strengthen the local content portfolio. It has also launched a crypto token ‘$GARI’ for content monetisation in the country.
