News Synopsis

China is facing fuel shortages, amidst all the chaos, they have now started rationing diesel, moreover, the demand has been rising along with the prices. There are reports of the truck drivers waiting for the entire day for refueling, houses are going without power since power stations are running out of coal, China is amidst a great coal crunch and this is hampering the economy, if not anything else. This gap in fuel supply while causes a collapse of the global supply chain, meaning goods from China will not be able to reach markets easily.

As markets and economies are reopening after the global crunch due to the covid-19 pandemic, business is back at several places but with the disruption in the supply chain in China due to power shortage, everything seems to be in topsy-turvey.

Truck Drivers in China are allowed to take in only 100 liters of fuel, half of the actual capacity whereas in some parts only 25 liters. All these restrictions are happening due to fuel shortage and ration crisis, these will only hamper the global supply chain. Energy crises are also soaring in China, with the lack of coal for power stations and depleting fossil fuels, homes and businesses are going powerless.
