News Synopsis

Singapore contains a third of the world's coral reefs and it is considered a small amount for a small country like Singapore. These coral reefs protect the coastlines all around the world along with being a home to thousands of fishes and are a very important part of the underwater ecosystem.

As the time climate is changing, it has also caused harm to the coastal reefs. This harm is caused by Land Reclamation and Coastal Development. A group of scientists has made an effort to save these coral reefs with the help of Legos. The small toy that is used to save the Coral reefs. The process to use Legos to recover coral reefs is not easy.

The process includes taking the reefs and attaching the coral reefs with the lego blocks. These reefs can grow into big colonies and increase the spread of coral reefs. The scientists have decided to use lego blocks as it is easy to increase and decrease the size of Lego according to the coral. It also takes less space as compared to the other objects. Once the corals start growing, these are placed back into the sea.
