News Synopsis

After the recent UN reports revealed that the global temperature will rise by 1-2 degrees by 2030, the government and corporations across the globe have come under scrutiny for not doing enough for all these years. The notion for all these years has been that things aren’t as bad as they seem or as many environment activists say they are. But this single report has burst that bubble. Now every state is in a hurry to bring about laws that can instantly bring some radical changes and save us from the hell our planet would become if the temperature keeps rising. The new addition to these laws is the California state law against cars and trucks that cause a lot of air pollution.

The law states that by 2030, California aims to achieve zero emission through cars. The usage of electric cars would be heavily promoted and the old cars, or the cars that cause a lot of pollution, will be banned from the state. The same goes for trucks. The law states that it will ban the sale of heavy gasoline-emitting vehicles by 2035 and promote the usage of electric and hybrid vehicles across the state. The aim of the law is to prevent autonomous vehicles from becoming the major pollutants. California has also promised to promote the use of driverless taxis across the state. Thus, California has become one of the first states to take radical eco-friendly measures to fight against global warming.
