German luxury carmaker BMW is ready to launch the i4 electric sedan, India's third all-electric model, on Thursday. This is an electric version of the company's 4 Series Gran Coupe. BMW previously launched the iX Electric SUV and MINI Cooper SE electric hatchback in the Indian market.

The All-Electric i4 is 4,783 mm long, 1,852 mm wide, 1,448 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,856 mm. It features full LED headlights, a closed front kidney grille, L-shaped taillights, alloy wheels, and blue accents around the car.

The BMW i4 will be available in two variations, the eDrive40, and the M50 xDrive. The basic version of the eDrive40 features an electric motor mounted on the rear axle and produces maximum torque of 340hp and 430 Nm. According to the manufacturer, a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h should be possible in 5.7 seconds.

The i4 features a dual-screen setup consisting of a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver display. The system works with BMW's latest iDrive 8 user interface. Other features expected of this car are multi-zone climate control, sunroof, wireless charging, and powered front seats.

There is no official word about the price of the i4 from BMW. However, prices are expected to start at Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom).
