Binance US Hires Krishna Juvvadi as Head of Legal

Crypto exchange Binance US has appointed ex-Uber compliance to lead Krishna Juvvadi as the head of the legal. Besides serving as the global head of operations compliance at Uber, Juvvadi was also Uber’s chief regulatory counsel and the first regulatory attorney and helped the company secure favorable laws and registrations at local, state, and federal levels in the USA. 

This recruitment reflects Binance.US's efforts to strengthen its legal and compliance team. Bloomberg reported that the crypto exchange is planning to hire 30 lawyers this week, primarily in data privacy and regulation counsel roles.

Krishna Juvadi has said, “I have been impressed by the significant, purposeful steps the company has taken in recent months to bolster its legal and compliance efforts.”

Binance has sought to build better relationships with regulators over the past few months after a series of warnings from regulators and others over the past year.

Juvvadi will follow the path of Binance US CEO Brian Shroder, who has spent almost two years as the head of the strategy and business development for Uber in the Asia Pacific from 2016 to 2018.
