News Synopsis

Avataar, the AI and Computer Vision platform has raised a total $45 million in its Series B funding round that was led by Tiger Global along with the existing investors of the company Sequoia Capital India, making it one of the largest fundraising rounds in applied 3D/AR space.

Avataar currently powers the largest global e-commerce marketplace with leading D2C brands, shaping consumer journeys with life sized 3D product evolution. It provides plug and play integration into the websites and mobile applications to its clients and partners.

The founder of the company, Sravanth Aluru has said that the digital world is undergoing a fundamental change with a shift from 2D content to life sized virtual 3D world, which is dynamic and super imposable on our shared physical reality.

Avataar is currently engaged in supernova platform, which offers a plug and play front-end integration for consumer visualisation of life size 3D avatars of products at scale. The digital and the digital influencer market is expected to grow to $18 trillion by 2025.
