News Synopsis

The Auto Expo-2023 began at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida on Wednesday morning after a three-year break.

The first day of the event saw the launch of Maruti Suzuki's first electric SUV (sport utility vehicle), the concept electric SUV eVX, which can travel 550 km on a single charge.  Maruti Suzuki is the largest automaker in India.

The first two days, January 11 and 12, are reserved for the press and VIPs. The next day, January 13, it will be open for business from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The public can attend the event from January 14 to January 18. Every day at 11 a.m., it will begin. However, the closing times are 8 p.m. for the 14th and 15th, 7 p.m. for the 16th and 17th, and 6 p.m. for the 18th.

This year's event features participation from well-known automakers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, MG, Kia, BYD, Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, and Tata Motors.

However, a number of significant participants, including BMW, Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and others, have chosen to avoid the event. In a similar vein, no significant two-wheeler manufacturer is attending the Auto Expo this year.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimmy 5-door, Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross, MG Air EV, BYD Seal EV, 2023 Kia Carnival, Kia EV9 Concept, Hyundai Ioniq, Hyundai Nexo, 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and other vehicles will be the event's main attractions.

It is probable that various cars, including the Honda City facelift, Honda mid-size SUV, Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport, Tata Harrier and Safari facelift, 2023 Hyundai Verna, and Hyundai Creta facelift, will make their public appearances at the event.
