News Synopsis

Audi India has officially commenced bookings for the highly anticipated facelifted Q8 SUV. The German luxury car manufacturer has been teasing the updated version of its flagship SUV across various social media platforms, building excitement among potential buyers. Customers interested in securing the new Audi Q8 can now make their bookings by paying a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. The bookings can be made either through the Audi India website or via the 'myAudi connect' app.

The facelifted Q8, which was globally unveiled in September last year, is set to maintain its position at the pinnacle of Audi’s SUV lineup, sitting above the Q7. The official launch of the Q8 facelift in India is scheduled for August 22, 2024. This refreshed model will primarily feature subtle design updates, enhancing its appeal without deviating significantly from the outgoing version.

2024 Audi Q8 Facelift: What to Expect?

According to the teasers released by Audi on social media, the 2024 Audi Q8 facelift will sport a redesigned octagonal front grille, finished in a blacked-out style with honeycomb mesh internals, giving the SUV a more aggressive and modern look. The grille will be flanked by sleeker Matrix LED headlamps, now featuring integrated pixelated LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The rear of the vehicle will receive similar treatment, with connected LED taillamps that incorporate a thin LED stripe running across the tailgate.

Further visual enhancements include reprofiled front and rear bumpers, adding to the SUV’s refreshed look. The new Q8 will also come with an updated range of alloy wheels, available in sizes between 21 inches and 23 inches. The latest iteration of the Q8 emphasizes dark elements, such as blacked-out wheels, tinted glass, and smoked headlamp and taillamp clusters, creating a more dynamic and stylish appearance. Despite these updates, the overall design language of the Q8 remains consistent with its predecessor.

Inside the cabin, the facelifted Q8 will retain the design and layout of the outgoing model, with changes limited to new contrast accents and updated stitching on the upholstery, adding a touch of refinement. The SUV will continue to offer a suite of premium features, including Audi’s dual MMI touchscreens, a fully digital instrument cluster, four-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, and connected car technology. Additionally, the front seats will be electrically adjustable and will come equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions for added comfort.

The new Audi Q8 will be available in a choice of eight exterior colors: Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Gray, Glacier White, Satellite Silver, Tamarind Brown, and Vicuna Beige. Buyers can choose from four interior color options, including Okapi Brown, Saiga Beige, Black, and Pando Gray.

2024 Audi Q8 Facelift: Powertrain Specifications

The India-spec 2024 Audi Q8 facelift will be powered by a 3.0-liter TFSI turbocharged petrol engine, which is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This powertrain delivers an impressive 335 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque, ensuring strong performance. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that directs power to all four wheels, providing excellent traction and stability. The full-size luxury SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.6 seconds and boasts a top speed of 250 kmph, making it one of the most performance-oriented vehicles in its segment.

Conclusion

With the facelifted Q8, Audi aims to strengthen its position in the luxury SUV market in India. The subtle yet impactful design updates, combined with the robust powertrain and advanced features, make the 2024 Audi Q8 an attractive proposition for buyers seeking a premium and high-performance SUV. As the launch date approaches, anticipation is building among enthusiasts and prospective customers alike.
