News Synopsis

To oversee its rapidly expanding manufacturing and supply chain, Ather Energy has appointed Sanjeev Kumar Singh as senior vice president (SVP) of manufacturing and Harendra Saksena as chief procurement officer (CPO).
Singh, an 18-year veteran of the German company Bosch, will lead the manufacturing vertical and oversee current and future production facilities. He will be critical in increasing Ather's manufacturing capacity from 120,000 units to 400,000 units and beyond. Ather announced its second facility at Hosur in December 2021, increasing its capacity to 400,000 units from the current 120,000.

Saksena will be in charge of strengthening and leading the supplier management function at Ather Energy. His appointment will be critical to building strong supplier relationships, according to the company, because he has a diverse and extensive background in managing various supplier environments.

“Over the last couple of years, Ather has seen growth and we are scaling up our manufacturing and supply chains to meet the growing demand. Towards this, we have Harendra Saksena joining us as the CPO and Sanjeev Singh joining us as the SVP - manufacturing. Both Sanjeev [Singh] and Harendra [Saksena] will play a crucial role in strengthening and transforming the end-to-end supply chain, purchase & procurement, manufacturing, and our overall industrial strategy for Ather. Their experience and expertise will bring better quality, and operational efficiency to Ather’s manufacturing and supply chain operations,” Tarun Mehta, CEO & co-founder of Ather Energy said after the appointment.
