According to the company, the location would be on Jio World Drive in BKC. The iPhone's manufacturer has also made a Mumbai-themed wallpaper and lockscreen available for download by customers.

In honour of the opening of the new store, the iPhone manufacturer also offers consumers the chance to download a wallpaper with a Mumbai theme and listen to a playlist assembled in Mumbai.

The launch fits with the company's strategy to build a key industrial base while simultaneously expanding its operations in India.

Nikkei Asia revealed Last year that Apple has requested suppliers relocate the first-ever portion of AirPods and Beats headphone manufacture to India.

According to the report, the corporation is attempting to shift the production to India as part of its "gradual diversification" from China, looking to lower the risk of supply-chain disruptions stemming from the country's strict zero-Covid policy and tensions with the U.S.,
