News Synopsis

Apple has released macOS Monterey 12.3.1, a minor update to the macOS Monterey operating system introduced in October. MacOS 12.3.1 includes a fix for an issue where the USB-C or Thunderbolt display wouldn't turn on when connected to the 2018 Mac mini as a second display.

Apple also fixed another issue with Bluetooth devices like game controllers. These devices would disconnect from a Mac when Beats headphones were connected.

The macOS Monterey 12.3.1 update can be downloaded on compatible Macs through the Software Updates section of System Preferences.

Users can update the Mac by going to the Software update menu in the System Preferences app. Recently, several reports across the Apple Developer Forums and Reddit with users recounting different problems.

The macOS 12.3 is facing problems with external displays. Some users are not getting No Signal alerts on their monitors when trying to connect them to their Macs with USB-C.
